  1. Hello,

I am moving into the area next month (Willersey nr Broadway) and would like to develop my ukulele playing.

I am 55 yrs old and pretty 'unmusical'. I have taught myself via You tube and can play a few chords reasonably competently. However, I struggle with strum patterns and if I try to sing at the same time it all falls apart. Could I learn with your group or are you too advanced?

    Thanks Frank (e-mail franciswatson58@gmail.com)

  2. FYI:

THE UKULELE ORCHESTRA OF GREAT BRITAIN at the Regal Cinema, Evesham on 18 May 2014

    “A FISTFUL of UKULELES”

“The Ukulele Orchestra is by now something of a national treasure. These world renowned, all plucking, all singing superstars have, in the course of their "World Tour with only hand luggage", given sold-out concerts all over the planet, from Sydney Opera House to The Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall.

And now they're coming to The Regal in Evesham.

This crowd pleasing and yet subversive orchestra will give you a feel-good show which zooms from Adele and Daft Punk to Tchaikovsky and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

A hilarious, entertaining, witty, virtuosic, awesome, foot-stomping obituary of rock-n-roll, and melodious light entertainment.

  3. Hi! Is this still going? If so, I would love to join and get some information about where your next practice is! I've been playing ukulele for about 4 years and I don't really have any output for this apart from youtube (LibbyroseITM if you're curious) so being in a group would be perfect!

    1. Hi, I have tried to contact the Stratford Strummers with a view to joining them, but have not been successful. Have you had any?
      Best wishes

  6. Hi,
My wife and I are buying a cottage in the Great Alne Park retirement village and hope to be moving in before the end of June.
I have played the ukulele for almost 4 years and I currently lead our local U3A ukulele group and have run our ukulele sessions on Zoom for the past year. I also (pandemic-permitting) sing and play in care homes, etc. with a local ukulele group (sounds grander than it is).
My wife, Cathy, is an almost beginner ukulele player, but we are both keen to find a suitable ukulele group to join when we move into the Stratford area (recognising of course that we will have a lost to do when we get into our new home).
I would be grateful if you could let me know if you are accepting new members and when and where you plan to meet once we are all allowed to meet in person.
    Regards,
    Tony
